I've been grinding my way through the new 5-album re-release of late-period John Coltrane. This is stylistically quite far from my other recent saxophone interest -- Coleman Hawkins -- but some of the Coltrane is interesting in an extra-human way. Forty-five minutes of Meditations/Leo from Concert in Japan is just too much too absorb, though...
