I've been doing this too, but I've hit a road block. I'm almost out of diskspace on my laptop. So I've put it on hold. I hope I can get a external hard drive by the end of the year.

Also as a side note: I have been listening to and involved with classical music for almost a decade now. (It's kind of hard to believe it has been that long.) So, it's unsurprising that I began my cd collection with the war-horses and cornerstones of the orchestral repertoire. As for labels, with few exceptions they are the big boys: Sony, DG, Decca/London, EMI, Teldec, plus supplements of Telarc and Naxos.
But yeah, there have been vogues. I got into Ives early on. There's also Ligeti, but I don't have every cd. And plenty of cds from DG's 20/21 imprint. Recently I've been picking up every new John Adams nonesuch release, and also new Golijov cds. But now with the help of emusic I've been downloading more obscure stuff on those small independent labels. It's refreshing.
