"I Am The Wife of Mao Tse Tung" is one of the greatest opera arias (with chorus!) ever written, but Mr. Guest may be right. I've never heard it sung well. Trudy Ellen Graney on the recording doesn't quite get it right and neither did whoever sang it when the Los Angeles Opera performed the opera.

Still, whenever I hear a dogmatic person in public, particularly those using Scripture as a basis for their rants, a little voice in the back of my head starts singing, "The boo-ook, the boo-ook, the boo-ook...."
