Overture for 2012 (2012). Philip Glass /all glass all the time/

All Glass all the time, here at aworks (well, except when I go see Nixon in China later this month). So here's another Glass premiere...

The bicentennial of the War of 1812 will be commemorated musically with a new work by Baltimore-born Philip Glass...The Glass work promises to provide an appropriately American alternative to Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture"...
