i.e. the best of the tracks that merited repeated listening
- Metamorphosis 3. Philip Glass - Christopher D. Lewis
- Nach Bach. George Rochberg - Sally Pinkas
- Jungle Book. Joe Zawinul - Weather Report
- I Have the Moon, You Have the Internet. Axel Willner - The Field
- Good Things End. Axel Willner - The Field
- Toward the Splendid City. Richard Danielpour - The Philharmonia Orchestra & Zdenek Macal
- Harmony 44. John Cage - Annelie Gahl, Klaus Lang
- Excursions. Samuel Barber - Lara Downes
- Violin Concerto. Ned Rorem - Gidon Kremer
- The Time Curve Preludes. William Duckworth - Bruce Brubaker
The Philip Glass is played on harpsichord. I think Glass haters will particularly hate this version. I, apparently, can't get enough...Musical commentary on Bach...Jungle Book is an overdubbed improvisation...I continue my obsession with The Field...Richard Danielpour is a few years older than I am, fwtw...I have nothing interesting to say about John Cage...Wikipedia has a rather long article on Excursions...I haven't thought about Ned Rorem for awhile...The Time Curve Preludes is "William Duckworth's Well-Tempered Clavier of minimalism."
