President Obama has proclaimed this month African-American Music Appreciation Month. Tonight, I'm particularly enjoying Sun Ra's That's How I Feel.
Wikipedia points out the song's funk influence. Sputnik Music summarizes the Lanquidity album on which it appears:
Sun Ra's not quite as WTF as usual, making this album a bit more cohesive than you'd expect from this weirdo jazz keyboardist.Sun Ra Discography confirms Ra is the composer of all the music on the album.

Oh man... Lanquidity is on the Long list of records I wish I'd swiped from the colllege radio station decades ago. One I pulled out of the jazz stacks on a whim and it took me over. Thanks for pointing this out, I never thought about looking for it on YouTube
"Twin Stars of Thence" was my late night pretentious painter jam.

Correction: Now that I can listen to it (responded from my phone) the one you posted was my jam. I likely had the song order wrong on my cassette dub of it. I'm surprised this hasn't been co-opted for a hip-hop single yet.
