Molly Sheridan happens to mention Synchronisms No. 6 by Mario Davidovsky. In my quest to hear everything, I've listened to this a couple of times this month. And I have to say, this is some of my least favorite music. I listen to lots of weird and noisy music and the core piano part of this piece is tolerable if not particularly interesting. But even though (or maybe because) it could be considered tasteful and refined, the odd electronic sounds annoy me more than I would expect. Even something like Varèse's Arcana is more soothing to me than this.
Next up on the aworks "no more for me, thanks" list, it's instrumental music from Paul Bowles' The Wind Remains...
